The second karmayoga week this year will take place from 17th to 22nd August in the ashram Brindavon. Many of Mataji’s students come together during this period to clean and polish the ashram thoroughly and carry out the necessary repairs. Some students stay for the entire week, others come on certain days depending on how much time everybody has. The point is always to do what needs to be done not as a job that has to be “gotten over and done with” but seeing it as karmyoga, a spiritual exercise about which Mataji says:
Karmayoga itself is practiced in silence.
To perform the tasks as thoroughly, as lovingly and with as much concentration as possible. Not to forget where you are. To give your very best and renounce the fruits of your actions. To merge fully with the task at hand means every action brings you closer to God. You may then be physicaly tired at the end of the day but at the same time fully recharged on the inside. “After all, I am here!” Mataji’s words on karmayoga.
The ashram requests that all those who wish to attend register by Sunday, August 9th, 2015 either by phone or email.
