In the presence of our master, we celebrated the Vesak festival: the birth and enlightenment of Gautama Buddha, the supreme Buddha. We laid a mandala of petals, sang Buddhist mantras and Sri Durgamayi Ma gave darshan with moving images and words. MA read from The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche:
„Our true nature, however, our buddha nature, has never completely surrendered to the tyranny of ignorance. Not for one second has the inner teacher given up on us. In its infinite compassion, one with the infinite compassion of all the buddhas and all the enlightened beings, it has been ceaselessly working for our evolution. – using all types of situations to awaken us and guide us back to the truth.“
It is not easy to describe exactly how strongly one can feel that MA never gives up on anyone of us. How Mataji, as living Buddha, uses every moment and every situation to show us a path to this vibrant, authentic and healing being, that – as Mataji keeps saying – is accessible to every human being.
On Sunday, Sri Durgamayi Ma dissolved the flower mandala, as is the Buddhist tradition, reminding us all of the true nature of things: every form is created, subjected to change and passes away – so too our body and life.
I lay these words like flowers at the feet of my master.
