In honor of Gautama Buddha, his birth and enlightenment, we celebrate Vesakh on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 – at Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir in Neu-Ulm.

On her path as a chela Sri Durgamayi Ma also met the Buddhist meditation teacher Satya Narayan Goenka and learned to meditate from him. So in the ashram we celebrate this festival in honor of Buddha every year – grateful for His teachings, which were an important part of Ma’s path to liberation and are for many people around the world.

This year Ma will not be present at Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir for the Vesakh celebration. Next opportunity to receive Ma’s darshan will be on the weekend of June 16 to 18.

All darshan and celebrations at Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir are open to all. Everyone is welcome.
