Hosting and server log files

In order to provide our online services, we use the following hoster: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen. The hoster provides infrastructure, computing and storage capacity as well as security and technical maintenance services.

In server log files and cookies, Hetzner Online GmbH automatically collects and stores information transmitted by the user’s browser. There is no merging of this data with other data sources. The data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Third party services and content

Based on our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. DSGVO, we use content and service offers from other providers (third-party providers) on our website in order to be able to integrate certain content, such as website functions, videos or fonts (hereinafter collectively referred to as “content”).

To enable third-party providers to make such content available, they must be able to see the user’s IP address in order to send the content to the user’s browser. In addition, third-party providers may use pixel tags for statistical purposes, marketing, or market analysis. In anonymized form, information on visitor behavior, operating system, browser and other technical information can be stored as a cookie on the user’s device and be evaluated by the third-party provider.

Data transmitted via contact form will be stored, including your contact data, in order to process your request or to be available for follow-up questions. This data will not be passed on without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A withdrawal from your already given consent is possible at any time. An informal notification by email is sufficient for the withdrawal. The legitimacy of the data processing already conducted until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Data transmitted via the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or there is no need to store it any longer. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Posts and comments as well as related data, such as IP addresses, are being stored. The content remains on our website until it has been completely deleted or had to be deleted for legal reasons.

The storage of posts and comments is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A withdrawal of your already given consent is possible at any time. An informal notification by email is sufficient for the withdrawal. The legitimacy of the data processing already conducted remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

To deliver our newsletter, we need an email address from you. A verification of the provided email address is necessary and the subscription to the newsletter is to be consented. Supplementary data is not collected or is voluntary.

The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter.

The data provided during the newsletter registration will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A withdrawal of your already given consent is possible at any time. For the withdrawal, an informal notification by email is sufficient or you can unsubscribe via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legitimacy of the data processing already conducted remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Data entered to set up a subscription will be deleted after one year at the latest in the event of unsubscription. If this data has been transmitted to us for other purposes and elsewhere, it will remain with us.

For sending newsletters, we use the service provider “MailerLite” offered by the company MailerLite Inc., 548 Market St, PMB 98174, San Francisco, CA 94104-5401, USA. This service allows us to organize and analyze our newsletter mailing. The data you enter to receive the newsletter, such as your email address, is stored on MailerLite’s servers. The servers are located in the USA.

We would like to point out that according to the position of the European Court of Justice, there is currently no adequate level of data protection for data transfers to the USA. This may therefore entail various risks for the security and legality of data processing.

MailerLite uses standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission as a basis for the data processing of recipients located in third countries or the data transfer thereto. The standard contractual clauses (according to Art. 46. para. 2 and 3 DSGVO) are an obligation for MailerLite to comply with the EU level of data protection when processing relevant data outside the EU. You can view the EU Commission’s implementing decision on which these clauses are based here: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32021D0914

For more information, see MailerLite’s data processing addendum: https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/data-processing-agreement

Sending newsletters with MailerLite allows us to analyze the behavior of the newsletter recipient. The analysis reveals, among other things, how many recipients have opened the newsletter and with what frequency links in the newsletter were clicked. Details on the data analysis by MailerLite can be found at: https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy

The data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A withdrawal of your already given consent is possible at any time. For the withdrawal, an informal notification by email is sufficient or you can unsubscribe via the “unsubscribe” link at the end of the newsletter. The legitimacy of the data processing already conducted remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Data entered to set up the subscription will be deleted from our servers and MailerLite’s servers within one year in the event of unsubscription. If this data has been transmitted to us for other purposes and elsewhere, it will remain with us.

We use the online music service Soundcloud (SoundCloud Limited, Rheinsberger Str. 76/77, 10115 Berlin, Germany) for the playback of audio files. These files are stored at Soundcloud and are played from there when selected using special software (Soundcloud widgets).

Soundcloud can measure how often and which audio files and podcasts are being listened to by placing cookies in users’ browsers and also create user profiles, by means of which personalized advertisements can then be served, if necessary. Soundcloud can assign the information received from users who are registered with this service to the profiles of these users.

As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the use of Soundcloud for the technically error-free and smooth provision of our services pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. You can find the privacy policy of Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/pages/privacy/.

To integrate and display video content, our website uses plugins from YouTube. The provider of the video portal is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When a YouTube video is called up, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. YouTube thereby learns which of our pages you have accessed.

YouTube can assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile if you are logged into your YouTube account. You can prevent this by logging out beforehand.

YouTube is used in order to provide an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Details on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/.

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Cookies help us to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure.

Some cookies are “session cookies.” This type of cookie is deleted by itself at the end of your browser session. In contrast, other cookies remain on your device until you delete them yourself. Such cookies help us to recognize you when you return to our website.

With a modern web browser, you can monitor, restrict or disable the setting of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured in a way that cookies are deleted by themselves when the program is closed. Disabling cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.

Setting cookies, which are necessary for the exercise of electronic communication processes or the provision of certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping cart), is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and smooth provision of our services. If other cookies are set (e.g. for analysis functions), these are dealt with separately in this privacy policy.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us - as the site operator - our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data that you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the “https://” string in your browser’s address bar and the lock symbol next to it.
