Visiting the Ashram
The ashram is open to everyone. There are regular opportunities to visit: Darshan — the encounter with the spiritual Master Durgamayi Ma — the singing of Kirtan and Hanuman Chalisa, and a daily Aarti.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
There are daily Aarti times, weekly Kirtan and Hanuman Chalisa evenings, as well as monthly Bhakti weekends and celebrations.

“Darshan” means an encounter with a spiritual master — or simply being in their presence. Ma usually gives Darshan during Bhakti Weekends and celebrations, which are announced in the event calendar.
The Ashram asks visitors to register for Bhakti Weekends and celebrations. However, registration is only required if you:
- choose an event that includes an overnight stay such as a Bhakti Weekend, celebration, or evening at Baba Mandir
- wish to participate in Seva Weekends or Seva Days
- would like to register for Christmas Eve
For most events and overnight stays at the ashram, there are set contributions that help support and maintain the ashram.
- Attending the daily Aarti or making a short visit during opening hours is always free.
- When participating in Seva, meals and accommodation are on donation basis.
For all events that require advance registration (overnight stays and retreats) the following cancellation conditions apply:
- Cancellation 1–4 days before the event: half of the contribution remains with the Ashram
- Cancellation on the day of the event or arrival: the full contribution remains with the Ashram
Yes — but only as part of Bhakti Weekends, celebrations, Seva Days, or Hanuman Chalisa / Kirtan evenings.
- Accommodation is available in shared rooms, with separate rooms for women and men
- Advance online registration is required (up to 2 days in advance)
- Seva, helping with the shared work of the Ashram, is an integral part of the stay
If you would like to come for Seva, you can register online for a Seva event up to one week in advance. Participation and overnight stays are possible on a donation basis.
Seva means selfless service – action undertaken without seeking personal gain.
The Ashram has two locations:
- Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir in Neu-Ulm
Celebrations, Bhakti Weekends, and weekly evening events take place here. - Ashram Brindavon in Ulm
Guest rooms are located here. If there is no event at the Baba Mandir, we celebrate daily Aarti here.
No, you can visit the ashram without any prior experience or prerequisites.

All food served at the Ashram is vegetarian. Visitors who eat a vegan diet can simply leave out any non-vegan components or will be offered a simple alternative.
