The recordings on this CD were made during Durga Puja celebrations. In the story of Devi Durga, the Divine Mother manifests herself, summoned in great distress by Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva to fight the demon that rules the world. Devi Durga emerges from the forces of all the assembled gods and is victorious!
In the Devi Pranam, the salutation to the Divine Mother, it says:
That divine power, who exists in all beings as mother – reverence to her, reverence to her!
