Place of practice

The word ashram means “place of practice” and refers to a place of contemplation, of inner reflection and of spiritual practice. Above all, however, an ashram is the place where the master teaches, where you can receive his or her Darshan.

Brindavon Ashram

In 1999, Ma founded Brindavon Ashram - in a large townhouse located in Ulm’s eastern city center. Ma named it after the holy city of Vrindavan (Brindavon) in India, where she met her Guruji Sri Neem Karoli Baba for the first time.

Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir

In October 2021, Durgamayi Ma opened this new ashram in honor of her beloved master Sri Neem Karoli Baba. The Baba Mandir is a place of contemplation and spiritual practice, a meeting place for Baba’s Satsang in Germany and a place to meet Ma. This new ashram is only a few kilometers from Brindavon Ashram in Ulm, on the other side of the river Danube.

Former ashram in Cologne and Berlin

Ashram Kainchi in Cologne (2002-2011)

From 2002 to 2011, Ma traveled to Cologne once a month to give Darshan at Ashram Kainchi, which Ma had named after Maharajji’s ashram Kainchi Dham in India. At Ayodhya Ashram in Berlin, Ma regularly gave Darshan once a month from 2004 to 2013.

Many people took this opportunity to meet Ma in Cologne and Berlin and there are many wonderful recordings of Darshan that Ma gave in both ashram. 

Unfortunately, the lease for both locations could not be extended.
