Cancelled – Shivratri Festival and celebrating the 75th Birthday of our Guruji Sri Durgamayi Ma

Dear Devotees,

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the cancellation of Shivaratri festival and the celebration of our Guruji’s 75th birthday, today and tomorrow, March 5th and 6th.

In spite of daily testing, one of the ashram chela was confirmed to be Corona positive this morning, who had many contacts with others yesterday without a mask.

We must acknowledge that we did not sufficiently consider the still high risk of an infection when planning and now see no other option than to cancel the whole weekend – including the livestream of the Shivaratri festival tonight. The Pujari will celebrate an Aarti to Shiva alone today at 6 pm.

To avoid further spreading of infection, we chela in the ashram now also must keep distance from each other and wear masks. This is why the Pujari will be celebrating the Aarti alone in livestreams for the coming week, up to and including Sunday March 13th.
This coming week, Hanuman Chalisa, Kirtan livestream and the meditation on Thursday are also cancelled, for the same reason.

With Baba’s blessings, we very much hope to be able to write to you soon about new dates for Ma’s darshan.

Ma strongly wishes to speak to her chela about the current situation – the war in Ukraine – and will give an online darshan tomorrow evening at 8pm via Zoom.
