Vesakh
May 1 to 3
This celebration in honor of Lord Buddha the exalted one of His birth and His awakening is the most significant day of celebration in the Buddhist year.
On this special day, we offer our reverence to Lord Buddha, to all the enlightened masters, and to our GuruMa, as they are an example and inspiration for us that life in the highest consciousness is possible.
In our GuruMa Durgamayi Ma, we honor the living Buddha who is dwelling in our midst here an now—even if Ma cannot be physically present this year on this auspicious occasion.
Throughout the day, we will recite and chant buddhist mantra, practice meditation and lay a great mandala of flowers together. Everyone is welcome to participate.
