Open Day at Ashram Brindavon 2019
Many visitors came to the Open Day on the 1st of Advent at Ashram Brindavon, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Some of them went straight to the flea market (this year in a separate, large tent), others enjoyed delicious homemade cakes and pies in the “Café” (also in a tent). Still others wanted to participate especially in the program offered in the temple rooms: Meditation or kirtan, a picture show about the history of the ashram, and a darshan by Sri Durgamayi Ma recorded on CD, in which Ma talks about the spiritual path and the power of unconditional love.
The chai (spiced tea) and Indian dishes on the 1st floor again attracted many guests. For the little ones, however, the raffle was the most important thing, because every ticket won. The main prize, a teddy bear, was almost as big as its lucky winner.
This was a fulfilling day for visitors and helpers alike. The proud proceeds of 3373 euros will benefit Action 100,000 - a local charity program. From the bottom of our hearts, the Ashram thanks everyone who contributed!
